Reachable-set characterization of an open quantum system by the quantum speed limit

چکیده

In recent years, Arenz et al. proposed the idea of reachable set characterization based on quantum speed limit (QSL); that is, target unitary gate in a closed qubit system can be characterized by considering QSL as necessary condition control setup must satisfy order to achieve goal. Inspired this idea, paper we characterize general Markovian open derived \cite{Kohei2}. Note bound is not only explicitly computable with respect parameters, but also tighter than other bounds. Some examples for demonstrating analysis will given.

Quantum speed limits in open system dynamics.

Bounds to the speed of evolution of a quantum system are of fundamental interest in quantum metrology, quantum chemical dynamics, and quantum computation. We derive a time-energy uncertainty relation for open quantum systems undergoing a general, completely positive, and trace preserving evolution which provides a bound to the quantum speed limit. When the evolution is of the Lindblad form, the...

Quantum speed limit and a signal of quantum criticality

We study the quantum speed limit time (QSLT) of a coupled system consisting of a central spin and its surrounding environment, and the environment is described by a general XY spin-chain model. For initial pure state, we find that the local anomalous enhancement of the QSLT occurs near the critical point. In addition, we investigate the QSLT for arbitrary time-evolution state in the whole dynam...

Quantum speed limit for arbitrary initial states

The minimal time a system needs to evolve from an initial state to its one orthogonal state is defined as the quantum speed limit time, which can be used to characterize the maximal speed of evolution of a quantum system. This is a fundamental question of quantum physics. We investigate the generic bound on the minimal evolution time of the open dynamical quantum system. This quantum speed limi...

Quantum Limit on Computational Time and Speed

We investigate if physical laws can impose limit on computational time and speed of a quantum computer built from elementary particles. We show that the product of the speed and the running time of a quantum computer is limited by the type of fundamental interactions present inside the system. This will help us to decide as to what type of interaction should be allowed in building quantum compu...

Quantum speed limit for non-Markovian dynamics.

We derive a Margolus-Levitin-type bound on the minimal evolution time of an arbitrarily driven open quantum system. We express this quantum speed limit time in terms of the operator norm of the nonunitary generator of the dynamics. We apply these results to the damped Jaynes-Cummings model and demonstrate that the corresponding bound is tight. We further show that non-Markovian effects can spee...
